Cardiology
This CD-ROM has two sections -- Coronary Artery Disease and Valvular Heart Disease.
The Coronary Artery Disease section covers:
- Angina and myocardial ischemia
- Anterior wall infarction
- Inferior wall infarction
- LV aneurysm
- Ischemic mitral regurgitation
Each section includes a clinical discussion with questions and comments, stress EKGs, radionuclide (normal, ischemia and infarction), echocardiogram and cath lab angiograms.
The Valvular Heart Disease section is divided into three sections:
- Valvular heart disease
- Atlas of echocardiography
- Echo tutorial
The valvular diseases reviewed are aortic stenosis, aortic regurgitation, mitral stenosis and mitral regurgitation. Each disease is reviewed as follows:
- Clinical with discussion, comments and questions
- ECG with interpretation and discussion
- Chest X-Ray -- PA and lateral view with discussion
- Auscultation -- with sounds at appropriate anatomical locations
(please note: we recommend listening with proper headphones such as Cardionics Catalog no. 718-0406)
- Echo - moving and still images with landmarks
- Cath - pressure curves with interpretation and discussion
The Atlas of Echocardiography includes normal parasternal windows, normal apical windows, parasternal long and short axis, zoomed view of the aortic valve apical axis view, continuous-wave Doppler flow, parasternal long axis view of the aortic root. M-mode of the mitral valve, trans-esophageal short axis view of the aortic valve and TE long axis view of the aortic valve.
This program operates on Windows 95/98 and Windows NT.
