Renowned for its extensive coverage of the drug-related literature, EMBASE, the Excerpta Medica database, produced by Elsevier Science, screens approximately 3,500 biomedical journals from 70 countries and contributes approximately 935,000 cancer-related records from the last 10 years. CANCERLIT, produced by the National Cancer Institute in conjunction with the U.S. National Library of Medicine, covers articles selected from approximately 3,500 journals pertaining to cancer and carcinogens, monographs, technical reports, conference proceedings, and theses. EMTREE and MESH thesaurus descriptors are provided for easy, quick, and targeted information access.
