Geobase is a unique multidisciplinary database supplying bibliographic information and abstracts for development studies, the Earth sciences, ecology, geomechanics, human geography, and oceanography. The current disc contains 240,000 records for the period 1990-to date, providing current coverage of 3,000 journals and approx 2,000 other including books, proceedings, reports, irregular publications, maps and theses.
Geobase is updated quarterly, with approx 50,000 new entries each year. Over 99% records contain a concise descriptive abstract. The broad content scope makes this an ideal source for current interdisciplinary research in the social, physical and environmental sciences.
